Possible studies of gluon transversity in the spin-1 deuteron at hadron-accelerator facilities

Chiral-odd gluon transversity distribution could shed light on a new aspect of hadron physics. Although we had much progress recently quark distributions, there is no experimental measurement the transversity. The trasversity does not exist in spin-1/2 nucleons and it exists spin-1 deuteron. Therefore, probe physics deuteron beyond basic bound system proton neutron because cannot contribute directly. Here, explain that can be measured at accelerator facilities, such as Fermilab NICA, addition to charged-lepton scattering measurements lepton facilities by showing cross sections proton-deuteron Drell-Yan process an example.
